Never a good start to a post, except for today. I was looking through some translations of Pablo Neruda poems. He’s one of my favorite poets. Looking through his collected works, I found this one:

Which is translated out to:

Is that I do not see you but love you blindly.
Maybe January light will consume

In this part of the story I am the one who
Dies, the only one, and I will die of love because I love you,
Because I love you, Love, in fire and blood.
And maybe its because I am tired, or over-caffeinated, or have a final soon, but I really feel like this is the original to Katy Perry’s “Hot and Cold”:
